We recently held a drop-in session for residents who wanted to explore their housing options!
On 13 August we invited residents to our Gateway House office to meet with our team and discuss what their next steps are to finding a better suited home.
There are many reasons why residents may want to move – some homes may have too many bedrooms after the children have moved out, living costs may have become too much or they want to be closer to the family. We want to help these residents find a new home, and free up their old one for a family that needs it.
Residents that attended the drop-in session were offered home visits by our team, assistance with registering on their local authority's housing register or provided other housing options such as a mutual exchange with another customer.
We were also joined by our Financial Inclusion team for those who may experiencing money worries, and by a member of Watford Borough Council's Housing Options team to support those on the housing register.
