We were proud to sponsor Herts Pride 2023!

On Saturday 19 August, we celebrated Hertfordshire’s incredible LGBTQ+ community at Herts Pride!

Last Saturday staff from across the organisation and the chair of our Gateway Membership Team, all attended Herts Pride in Cassiobury Park. 

Herts Pride is the annual celebration of the LGBTQ+ community that we have in Hertfordshire, and each year it gets bigger and better!

There were various stalls for food and gifts, a funfair, and a main stage with a line-up of amazing live entertainment. The highlight of the event is always the Herts Pride Dog show, with awards going to the ‘waggiest tail’, ‘best dressed’, ‘best trick’, ‘dog the judge would most like to take home’ and much more! 

This year we were proud to sponsor the community wellbeing zone, a marquee filled with lots of statutory and voluntary organisations giving out advice and information. As part of the community wellbeing zone, we were on hand to talk to the attendees all about our housing options, our job opportunities, how they can get involved in the organisation, and what we have on offer at our three community hubs. 

Of course, we also gave out a huge number of rainbow sweets and stickers!

It was lovely to see so many of our tenants and local community in a safe, inclusive space where they could feel comfortable to be themselves. We have been supporting Herts Pride since its inception and have loved being a part of it each year – we can’t wait for Herts Pride 2024!
