We would like to express our sincere condolences on the death of Her Majesty The Queen.
We recognise the incredible service she gave to our country throughout her life, and we know that people across the communities we serve – including many of our tenants – will feel a great sense of loss.
All our services are operating as normal, so please get in touch if you need anything from us. We are discussing our plans for the days ahead, including the day of the state funeral, and we’ll let you know if this will affect any of your services.
Our Annual General Meeting will go ahead as planned on Monday 12 September. As a mark of respect, we will hold a minute’s silence at the beginning of the meeting.
Over the coming days and weeks, we will be working with the Gateway Membership Team to consider ways we can commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s legacy, as we know she touched many of our residents’ lives.
We would also like to share people’s memories of the Queen in the next issue of our Voice newsletter, so if you have personal experiences that you would like to share, please get in touch by emailing communications@wcht.org.uk.
Residents who would like to pay tribute can also sign the online book of condolence set up by the Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire.
