On this page, you can read the rules that govern how we operate. Watford Community Housing members are given the opportunity to vote on any proposed changes to our rules.
Our rules set out how we are run, making sure that we put people first. They are based on the National Housing Federation's Model Rules 2015, which are used by the majority of housing associations across the country and allow us to demonstrate the highest standard of governance.
Every year we review our rules to make sure they are fit for purpose and enable us to deliver the best possible services. If any changes are proposed, Watford Community Housing members are given the opportunity to vote on whether to approve the new rules. This usually happens at our annual general meeting in September.
Our rules were last updated on 25 September 2023, when members voted to adopt the revised rules below.
Members will be invited to vote on proposed changes to our rules at a special general meeting in June 2025. The changes will help us to deliver the aims set out in our 2025-2030 business plan, so that we can make a difference to our customers and communities.
