Electric Umbrella is a charity that create amazing, live interactive music experiences with learning disabled people. Founders Tom and Mel recognised that there were very few opportunities for learning disabled people to take to ‘the stage’, and so wanted to create amazing, meaningful experiences that help those they support learn new skills and build confidence.

Their latest campaign is the 1000 instrument challenge – they are on a mission to collect 1000 unwanted instruments by Christmas! And we are very excited to announce that we are a Donation Station for this challenge!

You can donate your unwanted or broken instruments in just three easy steps:

Find it – got an old clarinet under the stairs or a guitar collecting dust in the attic? Find them and make sure they are in a reasonable condition

Register it – register the instrument at www.electricumbrella.co.uk/1000

Donate it – drop it off at our Gateway House office on Clarendon Road

The instruments donated will either be refurbished and sold on to support the community, reused in their musical sessions, or repurposed into something completely different. They have had 500 instruments donated to the campaign so far, and we want to help them reach 1000!
