A health and wellbeing programme called Active Watford and Three Rivers, developed by Watford Football Club Community Sports and Education Trust, is due to feature in the BBC One series ‘The Truth About’ on Wednesday 20 January at 9pm.

The programme was part-funded by Watford Community Housing along with the Premier League, the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA), Herts Valley CCG, Three Rivers District Council and Watford Borough Council.

The programme aims to work with people in Watford and Three Rivers who are at risk of cardiovascular disease or mental health issues, to help them become more active. They have seen a positive difference in the mental and physical health of those they help and would like to use their platform in this series to show others how to achieve it as well. The episode will seek to uncover the latest science around how to improve your mental health and wellbeing – and reveal some surprising new techniques.

You can watch The Truth About Improving Your Mental Health on BBC One on Wednesday 20 January 2021 at 9pm, with the programme then featuring on BBC iPlayer.
