Lift outages at Abbey View and Munden View

Our contractor, Simi Homes, will be carrying out works on the lifts at Abbey View and Munden View to help find a long-term solution to the outages.

Over the last few weeks we have reached out to residents of Abbey View and Munden View to inform you of the improvement works planned by Simi Homes. These works are to identify a long-term solution to the issues experienced with the lifts in the towers and reduce the number of breakdowns – as opposed to a short-term fix that may not last.

The current planned works begin on Monday October 13 and are scheduled to last until Sunday October 19. While there will be some necessary, planned outages, at least one lift will be operational for the duration of the works.

Please see below for the full timetable of works and outages, and please be patient with us and the contractors from Simi while these works take place to improve the lifts in your block.

Abbey View and Munden View improvement works

Monday 13 October 2025

Munden View: Lifts 1 and 2 will be taken out of service at different times between 08:00–16:30. At least one lift will always remain operational.

Wednesday 15 October 2025

Munden View: Lifts 1 and 2 will be taken out of service at different times between 08:00–16:30. At least one lift will always remain operational. However, both lifts will be unavailable for two hours between 10:00 and 12:00.
Abbey View: Lifts 1 and 2 will be taken out of service at different times between 08:00–16:30. At least one lift will always remain operational. However, both lifts will be unavailable for two hours between 12:00 and 14:00.
