Kitchen refurb – from dated to dream

A new kitchen can transform how you feel about your home, and that's exactly what happened for one family following a recent kitchen refurbishment. 

We recently did a survey of the homes we acquired from Notting Hill Genesis last year and saw some homes that were due an upgrade to their kitchen. Working with our contractors NJL, we transformed our residents’ kitchens including Mr and Mrs Boreland. 

After living with the same kitchen for 20 years featuring orange walls and dark countertops, the couple say the difference is remarkable. 

The newly installed kitchen is bright, spacious and modern, providing a much more practical space for everyday life. As part of the process, residents are given the opportunity to choose the colour of their cupboards, allowing them time to consider their options and create their dream kitchen. 

The couple were delighted with the final result, especially discovering that their existing appliances happened to match the new design perfectly. 

"It's such a different kitchen," they said. "All the little touches are really impressive. If it wasn't for Chime, we wouldn't have had this beautiful kitchen put in. Now we have to decorate the rest of the house to match it!" 

The work was completed in just under three weeks, with the resident praising the support they received throughout the project. 

“We were very impressed by how quick and professional the workmen (electricians, decorators, plumbers) were. They did an amazing job and were very happy with the results!”  

We understand that being without a kitchen can be disruptive, particularly as it is often considered the heart of the house. That's why the team works closely with residents throughout the installation process to make the experience as smooth and stress-free as possible. 

The result is a stylish, practical new space that the resident can enjoy for years to come.
