As part of our 'Love your neighbourhood' campaign, we've been encouraging residents to help make our communities greener, brighter and more beautiful places to live.
On 3 June 2026, we held our second annual gardening competition. Joined by Green Flag judge Barry Joyce, we had the pleasure of visiting a range of fantastic gardens and displays, showing the hard work and pride that residents take in their homes and neighbourhoods.
The standard of entries was incredibly high, making the judging process a difficult one. We are delighted to announce this year's winners:
Best-kept front garden
π₯ Mrs Williams
π₯ Neighbours Janice and Gideon
π₯ Julie Spiers
Best floral display (Including pots, hanging baskets and balconies)
π₯ Mrs Williams
π₯ Susan Wilson
π₯ Sandra Burke
Best-kept communal garden
The judges were unable to choose a single winner in this category because all the entries were so impressive. Therefore, the following residents share joint first place:
π₯ Neighbours Janice and Gideon
π₯ Sandra Burke
π₯ Susan Wilson
Each winner received a certificate and shopping vouchers, generously donated by our contractor, Accuro.
A huge thank you to everyone who entered and supported the competition. We were delighted to see so many beautiful gardens on display and the positive impact they have on our neighbourhoods.
Following our merger with Thrive Homes to become Chime Housing, next year's gardening competition will be open to all Chime Housing residents.
Keep an eye out for details on how to enter for your chance to showcase your gardening talents, connect with neighbours and win some fantastic prizes. We can't wait to see what you'll grow next year!
