Looking after your home

Repairs

It's good to know that help is at hand if something goes wrong. We will take care of emergencies and more complicated repairs, and can point you in the right direction if we don't cover the repair.

Repairs in your home

Our repairs service covers a wide range of works, especially bigger and more complex jobs. Some repairs are your responsibility – smaller jobs, such as fitting light bulbs or replacing toilet seats, are up to you to sort out.

To find out whether or not your repair is covered by our service, check out our full repairs service guide.

Report a repair

You can report repairs to us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The easiest and quickest way to request a repair is through an online account – here.

You can email us to report a repair on enquiries@wcht.org.uk. You can also call us any time on 0800 2182247 – if it’s not during working hours, you’ll be put through to our out-of-hours service.

Do you need help completing small jobs at home?

In partnership with AgeUK, we offer a handyperson service to help you complete small home improvement jobs and repairs.

The service is available to everyone – and if you are disabled or aged over 60, you may qualify for two free hours of work.

If you need help with jobs such as replacing lightbulbs, installing curtain rails or blinds, or hanging pictures, the handyperson service can help.
