By Direct Debit

Direct Debit is the safest and easiest way to pay your rent and you will not have to worry about forgetting to make a payment.

You can pay your rent any day of the month if you wish to pay monthly. You can also pay weekly, fortnightly, 4 weekly or quarterly.

You can set up a direct debit by calling us on 01923 209111 and we will agree an amount to collect to ensure your account remains up to date.  You will be covered by the direct debit indemnity scheme in the event of any problem.

Pay online

This is the logo for Allpay

Click here to pay online – you will need to input the 19 digit payment number on the rent card you were sent. If you were not sent a card or have forgotten the number please contact us on 01923 209111.

Pay using your Mobile Phone

At any Post Office

Using a payment card you can pay your rent at any Post Office by cash or cheque.

Payment cards are issued at the sign-up of the tenancy. If you need another card as it has been lost, stolen or broken you need to contact us on 01923 209111 to order a new one. There is normally a charge of £5 for a replacement which is added to your account.

At any PayPoint

Using a tenant payment swipe card you can pay your rent at shops where you see the PayPoint logo.

By Bank Transfer

You can instruct your bank to make payments directly to Watford Community Housing with our details below. To enable us to credit the money to your account in the reference please quote your tenancy number. This is the 10 digit number beigining with 700 or 600 depending on your account, which appears on correspondence we send you. If you do not know this please contact us on 01923 209111 If you prefer we can send you a standing order form for you to complete and send to your bank.

By Cheque in the post

Make your cheque payable to "Watford Community Housing" and send to Gateway House, 59 Clarendon Road, Watford. WD17 1LA. 

Please ensure that cheques or postal orders are crossed and have the address and rent reference number for which you are paying the rent written clearly on the back.

By telephone via an Automated payment service 

This service is available to anyone with a landline telephone or mobile which has a touch tone keypad.

  • Dial 0330 041 6497
  • You will be prompted to enter the 19 digit number on the payment card.
  • If you have not received a payment card please contact the rent team on 01923 209111
  • An authorisation code is given for each successful transaction, which acts in exactly the same way as a paper receipt.
  • This service is completely secure, so you can be assured that your personal details will not be disclosed to anyone else. This service is hosted by Allpay.
