Benefits and financial advice

We offer a free, confidential advice service to all our tenants. This includes giving practical support, advice on claiming benefits and making sure you are getting what you are entitled to.  Our Tenancy Support Officers can help you manage your bills and look at ways we may be able to plan your expenditures. To help us do this, please fill out a Financial Statement form so we can help you plan your expenditures effectively and assist you with any large debts you may have.

We can’t help you if you don’t talk to us

Please get in touch by contacting 0800 2182247 or by sending an email to rentteam@wcht.org.uk. We are here to help you.

If you are still not sure about your circumstances,  please try using a benefit calculator to see if you are getting everything you are entitled to. This calculator, provided by Entitledto, can help you by informing you what benefits you may be entitled to based on your personal circumstances.  Entitledto also have a budgeting tool, which can help you manage your finances in a way that suits you.

To prepare for the survey, you will need to know:

•    Details of your living circumstances
•    Your age and disability status
•    Benefits you already receive
•    Out-of-work benefits
•    Council Tax and housing costs
•    Your net income

These calculators are completely anonymous. Please note that as we do not monitor the information provided by this third-party company, we aren't responsible for any advice you may receive. You can find out more information about your benefits on the Money Advice Service website.
