Gas Safety Week 2019 is taking place from 16th-22nd September – and we are proud to be supporting it!

Our residents’ safety and wellbeing is our highest priority. We consistently achieve 100% gas safety compliance across all of our properties, ensuring that maintenance and annual safety checks within your home are carried out thoroughly by a Gas Safe-registered engineer.

All gas appliances provided for tenants have an annual safety check and a Gas Safety Record is provided to tenants within 28 days of completing the check, or to any new tenant before they move in. We keep a copy of this until two further checks have been made.

Gas Safety Week is an annual event which raises awareness of gas safety, how we comply with this and the importance of taking care of your gas appliances. It is coordinated by Gas Safe Register, the official list of gas engineers who are legally allowed to work on gas.

Badly fitted and poorly serviced gas appliances can cause gas leaks, fires, explosions and carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. CO is a highly poisonous gas that can kill quickly with no warning, as you cannot see it, taste it or smell it – which is why your annual gas safety check is so important.
