Watford Borough Council is changing the system it uses for property bidding. If you’re on the housing register, you’ll need to sign up to the new system, called Home Connections, in order to easily track and bid on the properties you like.

Home Connections is a new and improved way to bid on properties, which makes it easier to bid for a home you like - replacing Herts Choices Homes as the way to find your new home. The system now allows you to download an app, which means you can place bids and receive notifications about available properties on the go! You can also upload document to your account yourself, and you’ll receive improved feedback on your chances of successfully bidding for a property.

On 16th July 2018, Watford Borough Council switched to the new Home Connections system, so you won’t be able to use Herts Choice Homes to bid on properties any longer. If you haven’t already registered, you’ll need to sign up to Home Connections to begin using it.

Registering for Home Connections won’t disadvantage your position on the housing register in any way – you’ll still be banded on the information you give us when you register, and you won’t lose your priority registration date (unless your new registration moves you to a higher band).

To sign up, head to watford.homeconnections.org.uk to register now!
