The Nifty Fifties are reunited at last!

Nifty (over) Fifties is a group of over 50s that do fun, friendly activities and go on day trips. We formed the group in 2007 and are proud to have supported them ever since.

The group, of over 350 members (and growing!), used to go on fun trips together to the coast, boat trips to Winsor etc, and do activities such as a craft and natter group and Tai Chi. However, the pandemic sadly put a stop to that – every time they tried to arrange something it had to be cancelled due to government restrictions.

That was until Wednesday 4th August when the group were finally able to reunite and go to Southend for the day! Two coaches full of 96 Nifties had an amazing day dipping their toes in the sea and having delicious, and essential, fish and chips. The trip was a great opportunity to interact with others after such an isolating year and to add to an already successful day, 20 new members joined the group!

The group also have an afternoon tea coming up later this month, as well as a trip to Wisley Gardens in September.
